WHAT WE DO
Panther & Co. offers daily services to the East Coast, specializing in LTL shipping of seafood merchandise. Our procedures are carefully designed to ensure that our customers' cargo is handled with care and efficiency. We take pride in providing top-quality service and guarantee our clients that their shipments are in safe, reliable hands. All equipment is no older than 3 years old and equipped with electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS tracking on each tractor and trailer. We do this to have top-quality equipment and to ensure that we can provide excellent service to our customers by reducing the amount of breakdowns on the road.

Orders are received daily from our customers via email to the destination in which they advise.
PICK UP
Drivers pick up orders from different warehouses in Miami or MIA airport, count and sign the bill of lading to ensure all cargo is received before returning to the facility. The cargo is then offloaded into our warehouse.
WAREHOUSE
We secure the product by applying additional stretch film around the pallet. In order to identify that the cargo came from our facility, we use a yellow color stretch film. Once the cargo is organized, the pallets are then loaded onto each trailer per destination.
TRANSPORT
Once loaded, the drivers begin their trip up the east coast. Each tractor and trailer contain a GPS system that provides the location of the drivers at all times. On the occasion that there is a problem, we are on call 24/7 to assist the drivers for any problems that may arise.
DELIVERY
When the drivers arrive at the destination, they will provide the bill of lading to be signed by the receiver.
BACKHAUL
Our backhaul department schedules loads with customers to be able to coordinate a pick up in the Northeast and a delivery. Once the drivers are offloaded, they will then pick up the load to be transported back to Florida.

Having the finest trucks in our fleet helps us ensure minimal breakdowns on the road. Before departure, each driver makes a pre and post trip inspection of the tractor and trailer. All equipment is checked after each trip and serviced weekly.

FSMA COMPLIANT
Being FSMA Compliant, there are standards that have been met and procedures in place in our operations to ensure food safety prevention practices.
TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED
In our operations, ThermoKing is utilized to help us verify the temperatures of each Utility trailer are controlled and regulated throughout the trip.
FORKLIFTS
Our facility is equipped with great quality forklifts by Toyota to ensure a smooth transition from loading and offloading product.
LOG BOOKS & GPS
Each tractor and trailer is equipped with Teletrac which gives us visibility as to where the units are at all times. This also has an integrated log book for the drivers to record their driving times.
CUTTING EDGE FACILITY
Our cold storage facility includes a staging area that contains 10 loading docks, and separately 2 coolers and a freezer. Additionally, our building is equipped with a stretch film machine, an ice machine, o-zone machine, a strapping machine and a dedicated team of 20 which ensures the utmost care of the product.

HISTORY
In 1989, Panther & Co. was established by Orestes and Rosy Machado. Initially, they operated as owner-operators, hauling seafood loads from Miami to the east coast with a single unit. With each passing year, the company expanded, and Orestes transitioned from a driver to managing the operations of a small trucking fleet. As Panther & Co. continued to grow, it moved to a more extensive facility to accommodate its expanding customer base.
Along the way, Orestes and Rosy's sons, Orestes Jr. and Jonathan Machado, contributed their skills and knowledge to assist the company in every possible aspect. Today, Panther & Co. remains under the ownership and operation of the Machado family, continuing to leverage their extensive experience in the seafood industry to provide exceptional service.
